Bluetooth 5 is officially here. You can finally know more about the technology that is going to be on all our phones and the Internet of Things. Bluetooth has had a hard time moving forward, but it is finally making its move, and I think we are all very excited about it.
Whenever a technology is improved, you know that it’s going bring some much-needed improvements. When you read what Bluetooth 5 can do, you will be so happy that you will have to pinch yourself to make sure that you’re not dreaming. I can guarantee that it is going to bring some much-needed relief.

The Benefits of Bluetooth 5
With the arrival of Bluetooth 5, you are going to enjoy a much faster speed a longer range and the ability to transfer more information. These are some much-needed improvements that are finally here.
I mentioned that it has a longer range, but I didn’t mention how big that range is. Now with Bluetooth 5 you can enjoy four times the range in comparison to Bluetooth 4.2. Now you have to be so close to your wireless speaker to hear your music louder.
Another benefit is that it’s going to work better with The Internet of Things. With Bluetooth 5, household devices are going to be able to communicate with each other better. There will be upgrades to things such as speed, range, and capacity.
Bluetooth 5 also has location services. Now, it’s going to make things easier for additional location-based functionality. You will see an improvement to the uptake of Beacon technology. In other words, there will be improvements to indoor navigation such as in malls and the like.
By adding navigation and location functionality to Bluetooth 5, Beacon can transmit personalized information without application barriers and connection.
Older Devices Won’t Be Able to Take Full Advantage of Bluetooth 5
The good news is that your older devices will still work with the new tech, but it won’t be able to make full use of it. That means that if you want to experience everything it has to offer, you will need to get new devices, sorry.
It might be a while before you see Bluetooth 5 devices out there but the technology itself is going to be out somewhere between now and early 2017. I guess all we can do now is wait and get to know this improvement little by little.
You will also be happy to know that you won’t need to pair the devices manually. Now, Bluetooth 5 is going to be smart enough to automatically analyze the type of connection is going to be needed and just make it work.

I think I speak for everything when I say that we are all very excited. I mean, how can you not be happy with all the improvements we are all going to enjoy.
